#GivingTuesday Is Here!

By Elizabeth

TODAY IS THE DAY!!! It’s #GivingTuesday and we could not be more excited!

#GivingTuesday started in 2012 as a response to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The holidays have traditionally been a time to give to those in need and share the love, but these days turn the focus to our own consumption. #GivingTuesday changes that by helping everyone re-focus on how much they have, and how much others need. We are thrilled to be a part of this new social movement, and we hope that you will help us to celebrate what is quickly becoming our favorite holiday!

As we told you last week, Photo Start depends on the generosity of others to grow and help as many kids as possible. To date we have helped over 100 kids through our classes and they have used what they’ve learned to do incredible things!

Today, we’re asking you to help us help the kids. Join the Photo Start team by skipping the morning coffee, the after work cocktail, and the Uber between meetings (we’re coming for you public transit…) and donate the savings to Photo Start!

Once you’ve made your donation, be sure to post a picture online to show your friends that you’ve started the holidays off right, and use #PhotoStart so we can give you some virtual kudos!

And don’t forget to sign up for our Amazon Smile link! All you have to do is shop on Amazon using smile.amazon.com and a percentage of all of your eligible purchases will be donated to Photo Start. It’s an easy and effective way to give year round!

Thanks again for your support — we, and the kids, can’t tell you how much we appreciate it!
