Going Global!

By Elizabeth

For several years we have centered our programming in Africa- Kenya and South Africa. Now with our new online offering, we have the opportunity to work all over the world. We are thrilled to announce the U.S. debut of Photo Start programming through a new partnership in the Bronx!

The American Dream School is a charter school that serves primarily first-generation, low-income students who are high-potential and will be the first in their families to attend college.

In addition, through Women’s Campaign International, we are working in Philadelphia to provide young women with skills and support to be confident leaders. The Girls Advocacy and Leadership Series (GALS) is a nine-week after-school program. The program seeks to awaken girls to the power they possess to take charge of their own lives and achieve their goals, while helping others around them along the way.

In Israel, we have partnered with Israeli photographer Roie Galitz, who is helping us source highly qualified Hebrew and English speaking teachers. And we’ll have more exciting news on our expansion plans with Israeli Artists Project and other  organizations in the coming months.

Do you have a favorite educational or nonprofit who you think would make a great partner? Please contact Abby Lehman at abigail@photostart.org for an introduction!
