2019 is flying by! It is already February and we have done so much.

We have received new donations from great new supporters like Alien Skin Software, Topaz Labs, Adva Soft, Infinite Color and Aputure Lights. New creative software will allow our organization to expand the eyes of our students beyond the static image, which will, in turn, further develop the imaginations of the kids. Also, with fantastic new lights by Aputure on the way, we will be able to light and work in areas that were priorly unavailable to us, which is very good indeed!

What do all of our donors and supporters have in common? Incredible generosity.

As we are currently in Cape Town running our South African program, we reflect on our amazing partners across the globe. We extend our deepest condolences and best wishes to the family at Inua Mimi Rescue Centre in Kibera, Nairobi, Kenya that recently lost a son. We send our love and thanks to the St. Mary’s school, a wonderful new partner in Kibera, too. We say hello again to our partners in Paarl and Parow, South Africa, where we are continuing and beginning new chapters in our story. And we are very excited to be bringing our program to more and more young people through other current or future partners.

We would like to thank our donors and our advisors for continuing to believe in our cause and for helping to enable us to create dramatic change. We want to thank our team for working so hard to make Photo Start what it is today.

We would also like to introduce four new outside advisors: Vairam Alagappan, of Advantage Testing, Dr. Daniel B. Knecht, of Aetna/CVSHealth, Tim Griffith, world renowned architectural photographer, and Steffen Jahn, one of the premiere auto and aerospace photographers in the business. We are excited for what these new team members bring to the table.

We have an ambitious and incredibly exciting plan for 2019 and we are so thankful that you are here with us.

Thank you.
